I’m Daniela — Dani. I’ve been making photographs of people in love since 2012, and I hold a BFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. Based in Philadelphia, I photograph weddings primarily in New York, California, and everywhere in between.

I care deeply about what happens when you stop performing for the camera and start living your life in front of it. Your dad crying when he sees you. Your friends losing it on the dance floor. Your grandma holding your face in her hands. The quiet five minutes you steal together when no one else is looking. The strange, beautiful moments you didn't know were happening until you see them later.

I shoot film and digital; the light decides. There is something about film that asks me to slow down—to look a little longer, to trust my instincts, to let a moment become what it is. I love its softness, its color, its imperfections, and the way it makes an ordinary moment feel like something you'll want to hold onto forever.

I don’t believe in shot lists or forced moments. I believe in paying attention, knowing my couples well enough to anticipate a feeling without interrupting it, and leaving room for the day to be messy, colorful, weird, tender, loud, and entirely yours.
